Taking the leap. . . homeschooling here I come

SO the time has finally come to quit talking about it, going back and forth and just do it.
I will be when this school year ends pulling all 5 kids from the public school system and doing my own schooling.

I have just this year seen how my kids were bullied, teased or absorb the behaviors of the other kids around them everyday for at least 6 hours a day. Teach my children about our real history, how to really use math in everyday things, teach them several foreign languages so they are more versed.

My youngest is testing out as a 4th grader but in public school he is finishing up 2nd grade. He is super smart, always reading and asking questions and I want to let him go and keep learning as much as he wants and can. The schools won't advance him so he will be kept held back on his abilities and follow other kids his age, why?? Why not feed that brain and let him soar?!?

SO based on the public school system I would have a 10th grader, 8th grader, 5th grader, 4th grader and 3rd grader....... But what I will do is see what for the coming grade levels they still need more instruction on and go with that, but if they can do also higher grade levels in other areas, let them do that too. No point in having them do all 5th grade in every subject when they may excel in science or in reading and can do higher levels.
